We decided to attend one of the DAAA events to see what it is all about so we saw some soccer. The guys are very competitive. Overall, a great experience and looking forward to seeing Aidan in some of the events in the future.
Here is a picture of some of the “Outlawz”. Danny is from our chapter and the 3rd in from the left. ![]()

We never formally met the Roloff’s but saw them in action and had to snap a few pictures when I could. Below is Amy watching Zach during one of his games.
And of course I quickly snapped a picture of Marti Klebba, goalie for their team.
It was so hard to try and get a decent picture of Aidan and Caden together. This is about all I got. Trish took a nice one though!
The Murphy girls…as cute as can be dressed alike in their 4th of July attire!
Later that evening was the 4th of July celebration! It was a grand event.
Ash and Sam joined at the hip during the celebration.
Every fountain we see we have to stop at and Aidan needs to make a wish and through a coin in.
They had a little petting zoo that many of the kids there enjoyed!
Spin art fun!
Aidan was just about in heaven when he saw these remote control cars there!
Many many many kids got their hair colored. Ash was one of them!
My goofball kid!
We made the decision to just do Downtown Disney rather than a day at Disneyland for a few reasons. We live close enough to drive there when it is not as hot and not as crowded. There was just so much going on at the convention that we felt it was money well spent to just stick with mainly the convention.
Thanks to Jaime, a bunch of us met up for lunch at a taqueria in Downtown Disney.
Ash and Kylie enjoying each others company during lunch.
That day got fairly hot and the heat got the better of Aidan by the time we got to the taqueria. Thankfully, Trisha came prepared with a spray bottle. He quickly cooled off and between that and some fancy cars that Caden produced, Aidan was mysteriously all better!
Of course, we had to get a few group shots of the kids!
…and a picture of us moms!
Family pic!
Banquet photo of us!
What an amazing experience yet overwhelming experience it was. There was so much to do and so many people to see but didn’t have the time do or see all. We hope to make it to Dallas next year. 2013 will be the tough year. Would love love love to go to DC however my understanding is that there will be no DAAA at that National since the following month the World DAAA will be in Lansing, Michigan…..decisions, decisions and we would not be able to do both for sure!

I loved seeing all your great convention pics! It truly looks like it was an amazing time. I was laughing about the remote control cars - I think Seamus would have parked himself right there for the whole week! How wonderful to see so many friends. I sure hope we see you in Dallas!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all such great pictures. Really enjoyed going through the blog posts. It's a shame we missed out. Jaime and I have been thinking about a trip out to CA with Pres and I next year for the fundraiser. I would LOVE to go and the images of Aidan, Caty and Pres line dancing is too much to take. I don't have intentions of going to Dallas for the convention.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun convention!! Love these photos, especially the group photos of the kids and then the moms at the Disney lunch meet up!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the DAAA soccer games were fun to watch! We really wanted to go to a couple of games when we were in Nashville last summer, but with all of the activities we had planned, we never made it to any of the games.
Simon would have had so much fun with those remote control cars too. It looks like they had such a great day planned at the convention on the 4th of July for the kids! Ash and Sam look like they have become such good friends too!
Great family photo and photo of you and your hubby at the banquet!!
Right now, we are not planning on going to Dallas, but we'll definitely be at the DC convention as it's only ~35 miles from us. We are also looking at going to the World DAAA games in Michigan, so hopefully we will see you in 2013, if not sooner!!
