Visit to the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center

We decided to head out and see some family and friends in Sonoma County since Todd had 2 weeks off for vacation. The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center seemed like a nice visit as well. Snoopy was my absolute favorite cartoon character as a kid so I have a special fondness for this museum, the Peanuts characters and Charles Schulz.

The museum is located in Santa Rosa, CA which was where  the late Charles M. Schulz lived until he died in 2000.

After the museum we had some ice cream in the Warm Puppy Cafe and watched some guys play some ice hockey in the adjoining ice arena.

That has been pretty much the month of June and wanted to get all these out prior to the bombarding of blogs that will be posted in July from the National Convention.

  1. Wow, I never knew there was such a place, but how cool!!! I too love Charles Schultz and think it's great that there is a museum just for this. I love the pictures of the kids pretending to eat the cookies and you got some really great family shots too! We love the penny machines and have been collecting everywhere we go for years. I think it's kind of a neat and something different to get other than a magnet. Peyton took his collection in for show and tell in Kindergarten and it was a huge hit!

  2. hi
my name is Jenna and I came across your site. Chase is an amazing, inspirational hero. I love the Peanuts and Charlie Brown. I was born with a rare bone disease, and love it when people sign my guestbook. My disease is also a rare form of dwarfism. www.miraclechamp.webs.com

  4. I loved this blog post. That looks like the most amazing museum! I would love to go one day. So would Preston. What is the big Charlie Brown shirt made of? Such great pictures. Aidan looks like he has really shot up all of a sudden. He is just so handsome. Ash is oging to be a heartbreaker. Is Todd already installing locks on the doors?
